HARLEM THANKSGIVING PRODUCE BAGS
GrowNYC’s Wholesale Greenmarket, in partnership with participating schools, community organizations, churches and health advocates, will pilot a food distribution program in Harlem for the coming Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanksgiving Produce Bags, filled with 5 pounds of fresh, local produce, including potatoes, onions, carrots, sweet potatoes, and collard greens, will be available for $4 at three main distribution sites in Harlem. EBT will be accepted.
The bags will be prepared by J. Glebocki Farms from Goshen, N.Y., and will contain:
- 3 white potatoes
- 2 sweet potatoes
- 3 carrots
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch of collard greens
Glebocki Farms is owned and operated by John Glebocki, a fifth-generation farmer in the black dirt region of Orange County. The farm grows a wide variety of vegetables and specialty crops for farmers markets and specialty wholesalers in the tri-state area.
